I see that big manufacures like dell lenova or hp have different bin files lets say Hp[HPQOEM-SLIC-BPC]2.1.BIN = 213E856F | 2.1 CERT Hp[HPQOEM-SLIC-CPC-MSFT]2.1.BIN = 3474C7AC | 2.1 CERT Hp[HPQOEM-SLIC-MPC-HPQ]2.1.BIN = 4A549060 | 2.1 CERT Hp[HPQOEM-SLIC-WKS-HPQ]2.1.BIN = FC583380 | 2.1 CERT Hp[HP-ProLiant-LTP]2.1.BIN = FCF35BED | 2.1 CERT what is the difference between them?
some certain slics are tied to certain machines but for dell believe me only slic 2.1 works with all dells
so if im about to mod a bios with slic 2.1 on an avarage computer lets say. i have an hp with slic 2.0 how would i know with bin witch be the best option? or that dosent matter all will do the same trick as long as the certificate maches
on avarege computer you mean by self built it don't matter but for your HP machine you could download slic dump toolkit it will tell you what the type of hp slic it is.
