SLIC 2.1 bios flash corrupted MAC address on dell vostro 200

    hi all,

    looks like i did the same as this guy here on this forum awhile back with a vostro 200.

    tried to winflash the bios. it worked but hosed my mac address on the onboard nic (all FFs)

    any ideas how to reflash this? and/or just change the nic mac address?

    i cannot figure it out.:confused: thx

    tried the following with no luck: "awdflash 713D1S50.BIN /nvmac 0080C6F268C5 switch"

    (the bios file is 713D1S50.BIN) - please advise

    I think the correct command is:
    Code:
    awdflash 713D1S50.BIN /nvmac:0080C6F268C5
    Notice it's not a space between /nvmac and the MAC address.

    ok fixed it. went onto the ocz forums regarding another issue and found a bios file with an update raid controller rom and a tool toll to fix mac addresses (wont let me post the link)

    running the eeupdate command "eeupdate /nic=1 /mac=(mac address here)" fixed it

    just one problem, i tried to patch the bios file for slic 2.1 and it did not work...used that award slic 3.0 tool

    can someone patch to dell slic 2.1 and repost please....

    nevermind, redid the bios mod with the award slic tool and now it works

    got the intel raid rom 8.5 now too

    go ocz Forum -> OCZ Flash Support And Discussion Forum -> SandForce - Vertex2/LE/Pro, Agility2, Vertex2/Agility2 EX Drives, REVO and HSDL drives-> Guide List of BIOS files with updated Intel ICH9/10R RAID ROMs


    download the dell vostro 200 bios, has the mac address fix in there and a mod bios with the new intel raid rom

    just patch with the slic 2.1 patcher for win7

    Hello:

    Could any of you point me to where you downloaded the SLIC 2.1 modded bios for your Vostro 200? I've been looking around for quite some time and I can't find a link that's active, all download links seem to be dead.

    Any chance anyone can report the vostro 200 2.1 mod? I want to put windows 10 on one with the free upgrade...
