I have a modded a bios and it uses a hp 2.1 slic and a hp certificate which is actually meant for vista. I want to know if it's likely for microsoft to disable vista certificates for windows 7?
Anything is possible, but nobody can predict until discs appear on new machines with Windows 7 pre-installed. If all these have new certificates, then the odds are more likely that Microsoft could or will do something. But even if they do get disabled, there'll be a multitude of working certificates (and keys) available sooner or later, so there's absolutely no reason to be concerned about it.
