SLIC for HP xw4600

    I think of it is a HP version.
    I guess I have bad luck

    Lucks back. Download the latest BIOS 1.16 rev a from the HP website. rweverything shows it has the SLIC 2.1 tables in it.

    BIOS release notes. "ENHANCEMENTS: - Adds OEM activation support for future Microsoft Windows Operating Systems." :D

    I can confirm this works fine, I've just activated Windows 7 RTM using SLIC on my HP xw4600.

    But I have a version with Linux .... After the flash BIOS SLIC table is missing

    Hi, I am a complete newbie at this and I'm learning how all this works. I too have a XW4600 and I wondered what version of Windows 7 did you successfully activate?

    HP have released 01.17 Rev A BIOS for the XW4600, do you know if it is possible to use the new BIOS?

    Can anyone help me about xw4600?
    I am using xw4600 with 01.21 BIOS(updated from 1.17 through F10)
    But I found no SLIC info in everest.
    Should I re-flash the bios through DOS or CD?

    I am running the 01.21 BIOS which I updated to using the windows bios flash. I have activated successfully. I would suggest rebooting and reflashing again.

    Thanks for your help.
    I will try to reflash again tomorrow.

    PS:Tried but No lucky.
    I think this is because only bios with SLIC 2.0 can get SLIC 2.1 through updating bios.
    rweverything shows no SLIC at all.
    I think I need a 3rd party HP bios mod tool.

    did you find a solution for your problem ? i also have xw4600 with slic 2.0 and i flashed to 1.21 bios. but i still have slic 2.0. can somebody help ?
