Hi, i just tryed to replace the hvmloader with your dell and hpq hvmloader but it wont work with server 2008 r2. On another maschin with slic 2.1 in bios server2008 r2 work. Ive just copy and replace the hvmloader with WinSCP and restart XenServer. Is this correct? Or do i forget something?
Shut down the virtual machine and copy the hpqoem branded hvmloader to /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader and start up the virtual machine. When in windows, load up RW Everything and give me a report on the SLIC area of the ACPI tables.
Hi ive got it to run. Ive intigrated Dell Key&Cert in my server 2008 r2 dvd. When i use a win7 loader and install the hp cert the vm´s are activated. I was wondering why it isnt automatic activated after install. On other real pc´s with slic 2.1 in bios it is auto activated. I can life with this loader method to install the hp cert Thx for yout help. ps. your dell file wont work only the hpq one i tryed it the same way like the hpq one But its no problem i needed only 1 working file thx very much
Hrm, maybe something didn't work right when I compiled the Dell BIOS... I'll have to check that out later when I have the time..... But I'm glad the HPQ one worked perfectly.
Hi, have you made any more progress on the Dell hvmloader? Otherwise the HP hvmloader works fine with the HP 2.1 Cert and Dell Key for Win7 and W2K8 R2 Attached is the RW Dell AcpiTbls
Sorry to bring up this 'old' post, but I can confirm that none of the hvmloaders (5.5) for XenServer 5.6.0 (build 31188) do not work. Any change of getting a "fixed" version? Thank you.
