Was the BIOS modded to include the SLIC or did it already contain the SLIC from the factory??

If the BIOS was modded, a BIOS update MAY erase it.
If the SLIC was included from the factory, most likely not.

If the BIOS was modded, I would not update it. Otherwise, I would.
This is my personal opinion. Please choose wisely.

to update your bios you need a VERY GOOD reason

i mean if you wanna support for more CPU type's and speed's or fixing some bios BUG'S

you can take my mobo for example:
i have ga-945p-s3 (rev 1.0) mobo and my bios version if F4, the newest version for this board is F6, now there is a two reason's why not to update:
    1. in the new update there is support for 5 new models of CPU and my cpu id working fine in the F4 version (e6300)
    2. AFAIK only the F4 is modded and user's telling that it is working good (i'm a little bit afraid to be "guinea pig")
