SLIC & SLP in same BIOS ?

    Is it possible to have both an SLP and a SLIC in the same BIOS?

    I have tried to do this twice using Amitool 1.41 and each time it has said successful but it has bricked the computer.

    To explain I am dual booted with XP and W7 but am using a BIOS with a SLIC 2.1 Dell so my XP has to be one of the cracked ones. I would like to "legitimise" XP so I thought that a dualled BIOS would be the answer, Sadly this has not worked out.
    Can anyone help me with this

    Elaborate? It is very very unlikely that the tool produces bad mod!
    What mobo, what BIOS
    Also you should use latest tool (and not a very old one)

    Mean you mod a BIOS file twice? First insert SLP (or SLIC) and then insert SLIC (or SLP) into already moded BIOS file? It can bricked the PC ofcourse. Mod the BIOS only one time and insert both SLP and SLIC at the same time.

    My BIOS is on an ASUS Asus M4A785D-M_PRO the latest BIOS is 1001
    I used the Amitool to add a Dell SLP file and a SLIC 2.1 file I then flashed the BIOS using the built in Asus tool and waited til it rebooted. However when the computer was started it would not even load the Setup and was effectively dead.
    I did a hot swap and loaded an earlier BIOS 0806 with just a Dell SLIC 2.1 great it worked again. Not being one to sit om my laurels I then modded the 0806 BIOS again but with both an SLP and a SLIC 2.1. Bricked again.
    So I did a hot swap again and reverted to the 0806 BIOS with Dell SLIC 2.1 and it was okay.
    I should add that on both tries the BIOS mod was said to be successful Where can I get the uptodate Amitool please

    So my assumption was that mebbe an SLP and a SLIC 2.1 could not live together (obviously a wrong assumption)

    Try the Unmodified 1001 BIOS and see if that works without modding it.
    It may be that something (like an ad-on card) isn't compatible with that BIOS Update.

    Why are you using the OLD v1.41 AMI Tool instead of the newest version 1.61 ???????
