heyyyyyyyyyy... "urie" Cool. Pretty little pictures and an "OOBE" XML Document. I guess they go into the OOBE folder in the SYSTEM32 folder along side OEM. So are the SETUP/SCRIPTS folders need in the equation ? What is their role ? Cheers my man. I do think i have all i need now to make my own OEM Disc for Sony Vaio.
One more question. Those pretty little pictures of VAIO.. You know when you look into the SYSTEM from the CONTROL PANEL and there on the right is the PC/LAptops manufactures logo, you know the one i mean, is that part of the OOBE pictures or a different one i would have to add.
Well it works. I made the OEM folder, added my detailsand those files from urie, added to a Vista disc and hey presto. Installed a treat. cheers guys... i think what i need to learn now is how to make my own Vista SP2 dvd...
What do you mean did you not make a vista OEM dvd and it worked is it sp1 and you want to make vista sp2 you are easier downloading vista sp2 dvd and just copying your $OEM$ folder again to sources along with PID.txt file you never mentioned what version of vista you had on your machine you can install any OEM version you like just by changing the serial in the pid.txt file you are not tied to the serial that came with your machine look at thread on vista OEM SLP keys as for vista sp3 search for this MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.ULTIMATE.WITH.SP2.X86.RTM.RETAIL.ENGLISH.DVD BUILD: 6002.18005.090410-1830 FILE: 6002.18005.090410-1830_x86fre_Client_en-us-FRTMCFRE_EN_DVD.iso SIZE: 3243413504 byte SHA1: 25AD9A776503E6A583BEC07879DBCC5DFD20CD6E MD5: 19CA90A425667812977BAB6F4CE24175 or MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.ULTIMATE.WITH.SP2.X64.RTM.RETAIL.ENGLISH BUILD: 6002.18005.090410-1830 FILE: 6002.18005.090410-1830_amd64fre_Client_en-us-FRTMCXFRE_EN_DVD.iso SIZE: 3,861,460,992 byte SHA1: AAEE3C04533899F9F8C4AE0C4250EF5FAFBE29A3 MD5: A1C024D7ABAF34BAC3368E88EFBC2574 CRC: 80B2EDB5 do not search for the file names search for the file hashes in google i,e, 19CA90A425667812977BAB6F4CE24175
urie... The Vista dvd i have and have used for a while now is not even SP1. But using vLite i made a SP1, dont bother adding drivers or hot fixes etc etc. I prefer to use the M.soft updates. I read somewhere and tried it that vLite cant intergrate SP2. I found out the guy who made nLite and vLite has abandoned these APPS ?????? or summer similar. I am quite un trustworthy at what i download. from the simplest APP to the OS. I just would not be sure which version to download,Vista SP2 that is. There are a lot of folks out there who have Vista Sp2 preactivated etc. I dont want none of that. In my mind you have no idea what else is going on in the background of these loaders. Thats why i was lucky to find this site and learn of BIOS flashing and OEM disc making. I would like to find a nice clean Vista SP2. But i would like to have both Ultimate and Home Premium. So i have found a couple of TUTS which show how to intergrate SP2 into SP1 and make a SP2 iso image. It seems very long winded but if i can do it i know i will have a good clean disc. However...Your sugestion of searching for the file hash seems a good one,so i will go hunt one down...( actually doing it now ) Hopefully i can find a newsbin download or a well seeded torrent download. Rapidshare for me takes far too long for large files...far TOOOOOOOOO LONGGGGGGG... Cheers urie.. to add....I just normally insta ll Vista. Then SP1 then SP2... ohhhhhhhh how long does that take.....yawn.... Found one...Fairly fast torrent. just over 3 gig roughly just under two hours..Newsbin would have been better LOL...
Urie.. Pick ya brains mate. Downloaded a version which i thought was exactly like the details you gave. But i have this info on it : MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.VISTA.ULTIMATE.WITH.SP2.X86.RTM.RETAIL.ENGLISH.DVD-WZTiSO BUILD: 6002.18005.090410-1830 FILE: 6002.18005.090410-1830_x86fre_Client_en-us-FRTMCFRE_EN_DVD.iso SIZE: 3243413504 byte SHA1: 25AD9A776503E6A583BEC07879DBCC5DFD20CD6E MD5: 19CA90A425667812977BAB6F4CE24175 CRC: E2AD10F9 NOTE: WZorNet It dont quite match .
