    Wow ! This is awesome !
    This is *exactly* what I was looking for to even consider ""upgrading"" from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

    If Windows 10 was never released and all software still supported Windows 7, that would be the best option. However, that is not the reality and it seems to be an uncomfortable inevitability that in the near future even the most basic of applications like browsers will phase out Windows 7 support, and everyone will be grudgingly forced to """upgrade""" from Windows 7.

    I was already ready to give up as removing all the telemetry, bloat, spyware and "cloud" crap, being so deeply integrated in Windows 10, seemed an insurmountable task teetering on impossible.
    But this gives me new hope. I'll be sure to check this out when the time arrives that Windows 7 cannot be used anymore.

    Built a new PC, so made a new ISO with v1.51. Started with a UUP Dump created ISO: Enterprise 22H2 19045.3031. Actually ran that through MSMG Toolkit for a couple tweaks and custom files (wallpapers, icons, HOSTS) I like to add with that. Then ran the resulting iso through Slimdown10 1.5.1 with "set IntegrateUpdates=0" (iso already current) and all went perfectly. Result is a nice clean, no nonsense install.

    The problem with DesktopAppInstaller "Error 15610" reported in post #627 above has been solved after changing the host OS (and so the DISM version) as follows:

    Host OS: 22621.1702 => 19045.2846
    DISM: 22621.1 => 19041.844

    So the valuable lesson here is that running Slimdown10 on Windows 11 should be avoided for now. The author of the script is primarily testing it on Win10 19045 with the latest "second Tuesday of the month" updates and the further away you deviate from that the higher the risk of the bugs creeping in.

    PS: Thanks everyone for all the tips about NSudo and Trusted Installer.

    @wkeller : Thanks for new version. I just realize after 2 separate install that I can't shrink the OS partition, only small partition that can be shrink...
    I'm using Consumer may ISO, is it script problem or ISO May release problem?

    Here is some information for those who like to skip creating an ISO file and install Windows directly from install.wim using DISM.

    1) Copy the following two files to ...\Slimdown10\DVD\sources\. No other files are needed in DVD directory.

    - boot.wim (it can be fake, eg. an empty boot.txt renamed to boot.wim)
    - install.wim

    2) Skip ISO in configuration section of Slimdown10.cmd

    CreateISO=0

    3) Run Slimdown10.cmd regular way and the original install.wim (ref. #1 above) will be replaced with a new version.

    The script only checks if the following files are present (line numbers are from v1.51):

    - ISO, install.wim or install.esd (Line 154-176)
    - boot.wim (Line 208-217)

    Tested with:
    - install.wim 19045.2965 index 1 (Win10 Home)
    - Slimdown10 v1.51
    -
    - install.wim 19045.3086 index 1 (Win10 Home)
    - Slimdown10 v1.52

  15. I have never run it as Trusted Installer in my life. The script should work with normal Admin (UAC disabled) privileges.
    If it doesn't, something is blocking it (maybe antivirus or other security software).

    Of course it can be launched as Trusted Installer, but it is workaround rather than solution.

    Got a snag after installing on my second PC. After installing graphics driver 535.98, Nvidia Control Panel won't run, "This app has been blocked by your system administrator". Anyone know how to unblock it?
    Thanks.
