    Can someone elaborate on what happens with this command (SLMGR -ILC)? I know it installs the license certificate on a machine, BUT what actually is changed on the system or added; i.e. file(s)/registry, etc???? I want to do the reverse and uninstall the CERTIFICATE. Thanks.

    I think that it adds a certificate = modifies tokens.dat file.
    If you want to reverse then I saw Yen's post somewhere in this forum describing it step by step... unfortunately no clue where it is - maybe someone will post it ?
    Correct me if I'm wrong ;)

    If you run "slmgr.vbs /?" from a command prompt you will get a list of parameters. I believe that "slmgr.vbs -upk" will remove the key and the license (cert) although the help only says the key is removed. Worth a try anyways.

    You could also try another procedure that should work;
    - stop the licensing service
    - rename tokens.dat
    - restart service
    - a new tokens.dat is automatically created

    -upk only removes the product key. If you want to remove all the user installed licenses (certs) and revert back to the system installed licenses, use -rilc.

    /ipk Install an NEW key and remove the old key
    that is not with /ilc so ilc not remove the old key
    /rilc only for you if the key to reinstall
