I've 2 almost identical win 7 machines (i7 with fast 1000 giga disks ) connected back to back over a gigabyte switch
network connections seem OK and fast ....
individually the machines seem to work perfectly but connected (remotely connecting to any directory takes 20 to 30 seconds for each access (home network)
any idea what to do (giga connections seem to work fine ony win7 does not seem to be albe to coap with win 7)
connections to an xp machine (100mb) have a normal speed only the inter windows connection is horrible.....

    all idea's welcome

I'll be very interested to see what people have to say. Mine was acceptable speed-wise until it just stopped working. I restored earlier images that I know were working and still no joy. It's got me beat so far but not critical so I'm living with it. But I hate for things to just stop working for no apparrent reason. Got to be a cause somewhere; generally given time the reason becomes obvious.
