small oem partition??

    i notice on my samsung oem notepad there is a small partition of about 85mb on the samsung called system and no volume letter what is it for and what do they contain?

    i ask because iam putting in a new hdd with windows 7 and just wondering if i will need this partition transfering to the new hdd to activate windows again? or can i just leave it off the new hdd.

    Why can't you not just remove older hard drive add new one and install windows 7 see what happens. You don't evn mention what the model is what OS is on it at the moment, it could be a diagnostic partition have you tried asking on samsung forums ? They may offer more info.
