Smartversion is very smart

    I thought the file used to create the .svf needs to be an exact hash match with the file later used for extraction.

    It seems not. Looks like smv is able to cope if the hash difference is caused by something minor like file creation date, or time stamps. It extracts the new file fine, though it does give an error message at the end.

    Might not be news to you, but it surprised me. Is anybody able to confirm that, in case it is a freak result here.

    my test tells that hash & filename must be correct
    or else get none

    Strange.

    I just created an entirely new iso. Filename is the same, but the hashes are very different from the original source iso. ( I think the only difference is the oscdimage time stamps. )

    Used smv to extract the new file from it.

    I am using smv.exe 30 32 bit. After completing the extraction , it gives Error 4294967292. However, the new file has been created perfectly.
