I have used this tool for years. Removing battery will reset your changes most of the time(depends on setting)->Also I have managed to get couple computers stuck at boot->needed to reflash backup of my bios. Always make a backup of your current bios before modding. There is also a thing, if bios menus are in different file inside bios-file(not setup.dxe). Like some business HP and Lenovo laptops. Result is just menu which just has couple options, like option rom. Edit. Mods I have done with this is enabling 4x speed for NVME. Stupid HP power consumption trick to limit speed to 2x. Changed memory speed from 2400MHz->3200MHz also HP thing.
Can confirm UMAF worked on a Latitude E7470 to re-enable undervolting/disable OverClocking Lock! Also worked on my OptiPlex 7050 Micro, no dice on my CF-19 Toughbook though.
