I installed it on my laptop It works awesome so far. I have SSD on laptop by the way. I see watermark but it is not very problem for me. So other than watermark do you loose any feature ? Performance etc ?
It's very much like using a Shareware program, where you won't have access to many Windows Features. Nothing more, nothing less.
You just loose Metro (and lockscreen) background and profile personalization. So nothing important, I use it that way too, everything works great.
Weird, I haven't lost anything that I can see. I am logged in with my MS account. Naturally, the watermark remains. And every once in a while (once a day, sometimes more) I am interrupted with a MS version of a nag screen, telling me I need to activate it. I am running it on an external USB 80GB Intel SSD. The only programs installed are Avast!, Bitcasa and CCleaner. Still have 56GB free.
Volume License version doesn't even get that nag screen. I'm running 8.1 VL Pro, and the only thing that I see is that watermark. Nothing "bothers" me other than that, cause i don't need personalization anyway.
Well, f**k me for not installing VL version than, do you think I can switch to it without reinstalling the OS? That FULLSCREEN popup is freaking annoying!
Windows 8.1 Pro activated, no nag screen, no watermark. What about buying an actual key? Hacktivators suck, and there's no KMS at the moment

Wrong, you can activate Office 2013 on not-activated Windows 8.1. Also licensing of both retail & VL editions of Office 2013 relies on Windows licensing module.
... can't activate office 15 with kms activators if on win 8.1. my apologies...should have been more clear.
