    Hi,

I have a DELL Dimension E310 series which came with a socket 775 P4, 2.8ghz, HT CPU. Unfortunately, Dell's site does not recognize the service tag as being valid.

    Can I install a socket 775 Core 2 Duo T7300 LGA 775 processor?

    Thanks,

well, maybe you could after doing a bios upgrade from dell

but firstly i would try googling your board for a bit, and add LGA 775 C2D T7300 to your search query, see if you come up with a few results and start reading

so open up your case and find out which mainboard you have.

    Hi All,

I might be wrong, but I believe the T7300 is a Mobile processor. It only dissipates 35W of power, bios compatibility would be an issue.

The system is too old and not worth upgrading.

Save your money and get something made in this decade with a warranty.
