(Please be clear, I know absolutely nothing about this.... I never had one...)

Is it possible to download and install software and maps on my android tablet and then use it offline in the car as GPS navi?

If yes, what do I need? Preferably I would need it in english, but I do need it to drive in Japan...

    Thanks...

Thank you but never use any downloads from Google, Amazon or apple

    THank you all once again.
It is working fine, omn and off-line. I downloaded MapFactor and I got an ASUS tablet for about $50 which has GPS.

Both together work well enough for me, who only needs them occasionally, I am one of these old people who prefer to actually know what they are doing, instead of simply using a computer to tell me what I should do.
Its a long story... trust me.

    Thanks everybody

By the way, all Windows 10 tabs have FREE offline maps (world wide, download all maps what you need), based on those HERE offline maps ...
