    Hello Folks!!

Yes it's as true as it sounds!!! I finally fixed this issue :)

The guide is as follows, but it would be great if someone can tell me how to request for this topic to be sticky :)

    Thesis:

Well, as it turns out, I was right after all! This error happened to me because I'd downloaded the official trial from MS.
    That wasn't the problem :\

The problem was the fact that I'd USED the trial key!
Yep! I shouldn't have.. but I did anyway..

Also, that was a retail install, and when I uninstalled it to install GVLK(Volume edition), the key wasn't removed...

Therefore, kms activator didn't really know what to do :D

At first I thought that Office Toolkit hadn't converted the img properly, and that was pretty annoying, I wasn't really into downloading another image..

But no.... okay I'm trailing off :O

Before I start the guide, all credit goes to a (now) good friend of mine, also a member of MDL, Frank Smith...

    Thanks Frank!

    The Guide:
    It's simple!
All you have to do is Uninstall previous product keys, reboot, then run kms activator/nano/Office Toolkit whatever!

And here's how you do it:

I'm glad it finally got to work - yes, those Trial keys will kill you every time....
Found one that had over 12 Keys entered, yours was easy .... only 3
    Enjoy... :ball2:

I'm in Windows 8 x64 and running x64 Office. I've previous tried multiple ways to install Office 2013 and none have worked. So, I ran the script and I've pulled the product key out multiple times. There's about 100 entries of various gobbledy gook that says:
    Code:
    LICENSE STATUS: ---UNLICENSED---
I'm guessing those entries can't be removed and don't matter? I remove the key GVGXT from the one entry that appears to have a key. Says it was removed successfully. I reboot. I reload KMS. I check status and KMS says:
    Code:
    <No product keys detected>
Ok awesome. I hit "Activate Office"

    Every single time I get:
    Code:
Installed product key detected blah blah blah
Last 5 characters of installed product key: GVGXT
What am I doing wrong? Why isn't this product key removing when it says it is! I feel like I'm so close here.

You know this key is needed for KMS activation? Is the GVLK (Client Volume Key) for Office 2013 Pro Plus.

I had previously tried unsuccessfully to install Office 2013 with KMS a few months ago and KMS would never work. I uninstalled and reinstalled 2010. I figured I would reinstall Office 2013 now. I've removed Office 2010, removed all 2010 keys. I tried to run the fix from MS, but it says that it is not for my operating system. (Windows 8 x64 legal). I run KMS TheWiz and it always gives me the error that GVGXT is installed already and KMS won't work. So I tried what was suggested here and I removed the product key that KMS had a problem with.

You're saying that I need to do what? I do have a volume license installed. I followed TheWiz instructions and used his thing to install.

Did you try activating against an online KMS host via administrative CMD?
That key is definitly needed for KMS.

I have Microsoft Toolkit 2.5.2 Official. How do I uninstall the TAP-Adapters? The VPN adapters allowed me to delete but the option is greyed out for the TAP-Windows Adapter V9 and the TAP-Win32 Adapter OAS (named Local Area Connection and Local Area Connection 2)? In the device manager?

I went to the Network and Sharing Center/Adapter Settings. At that point I was able to delete 2 VPN type connections which I had not created. Unfortunately the two adapters left of TAP-Windows Adapter V9 and TAP-Win32 Adapter OAS type do not allow me to uninstall them, only disable. Delete is greyed out as I stated. So how do I uninstall them if there is no such option for those adapters?

Hmm, not sure about the TAPs in use, they can't be deleted, afaik you need to disable first :g:.

In Toolkits 'Settings' go to 'Local Host Bypass' tab and switch to DLL Injection or WinDivert and try again.

I find it interesting the errors are the same, essentially, regardless of local bypass method. This suggests a setting or file that is not being deleted when I remove all the Office files and uninstall. There is an installed Office 2013 update, KB2881035, that cannot be removed. In Uninstall an Update it appears 3 times after all other Office updates are deleted but if I click uninstall, it pauses, nothing happens, then the Uninstall an Update becomes active again. I tried downloading the full version of the update, installing, then uninstalling. Even tried a util called Uninstall (short, to the point) to do a deep scan based on the update file but it didn't come up with anything sensible. This is becoming rather frustrating, as even valid VL codes don't work, I think the problem may be more complicated than just some TAP/OAS adapter being there, but since I haven't gotten rid of it, I guess it might still be the issue. I can imagine the IP address not being accepted would kill the KMS connection but the adapters are on auto. Maybe I should assign one matching the KMS Server or local bypass address in MSToolkit?

'The data is invalid' means that the bypass isn't working, in that case the activation fails. Seems your AntiVirus is interferring the process :g:.
