On my Dell Windows 11, XP is installed on VirtualBox. XP is from XP SP3 CD with CD-key (for 1-2 PC, per Dell). XP activation cannot go through because of Microsoft XP server unavailable. I have read and tried methods in this thread. Then still see pop-up box requesting to activate in 30 days. 1. VLK and OEMBIOS changer 2. xml file (is this method only for HP computer? mine is Dell) indeed I didn't get error messages just still see prompt to request to activate in 30 days. how can I activate XP on VirtualBox? (if Microsoft XP server unavailable) Thanks,
@siliconbeaver Glad you managed to solve it. Just out of curiosity: Which one? I fyou have a sha-1 sum of iso in question, or a dump uploaded, or could upload content of SETUPP.INI im pretty confident we can find out exactly what went wrong and how it could have been addressed with this particular iso.
Excellent That's a verified retail edition. It can't be activated by vlk or oem:slp out of the box, needs online activation. "Needed." There's a new tool that will activate this retailedition and that's xp_activate32 (actually, there are a few but they builds on xp_activate32 )
