[Solved] Add 'projecting to this pc'/connect app option to windows 10 ltsc 2019 (1809)

    Hi, has anyone got the 'connect' app to install. I would like to use my tablet as a 2nd screen to my desktop. Both my device support miracast i checked with the dxdiag method. I tried to copy 'Microsoft.PPIProjection_cw5n1h2txyewy' from a 1809 pro build to my ltsc machine (c:\windows\systemapps) and I tried using the command:

    Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.PPIProjection_cw5n1h2txyewy\AppxManifest.xml"

    The error output is:
    Add-AppxPackage : Deployment failed with HRESULT: 0x80073CF9, Install failed. Please contact your software vendor.
    (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80073CF9)
    Rejecting a request to register from AppxManifest.xml because the manifest is not in the package root.

    Hello, may I know how you got the language pack folder from the edl file? All I got is the folder that has Microsoft-PPIProjection-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.17763.1.mum but no language pack. Extracted with 7zip.

    Would greatly appreciate any help as I am really in need for this. Thanks.

    In my case that method does not worked
