    Hi guys,

Currently I am using windows 7 with keygen codes for its product key. I recently came home from work last night and found out that instead of my usual desktop screen, it was now that big blue screen that asks for input of a product key. My father was using the PC at the time so i wasn't there myself to witness it personally.

I do remember having a similar incident in the past, which is why i used windows loader 1.9.5 to get some generated keys...

So far I have system restored it to last week and did scans via MSE, malwarebytes and hitman; with only hitman showing tracking cookies which i then deleted.

Is it a simple case of me having to re-enter another key-gen'd key?

    Cheers!

Damn, its been so long so i can't remember what it did.

But atm mine is 1.9.5 with the patch notes saying: "Added new GRLDR version which fixes a bug..." I just can't remember how I used it in the first place (2014).

But the instructions do say "You must keep the "Keys" .txt document in the same folder as the "Windows Loader 1.9.5" etc

Uninstall remove any previously installed slic and or other solutions and try the loader as "shhnedo" suggested. BSOD's probably are from something else.. check your hard drive health also did you recently installed any new drivers or software ? well without a logs we can't tell much can be anything. Also try system restore. Run "SFC /scannow " command.

Well strange windows 7 don't have activation screen like this it's different. Also did you tried daz loader and what did it says ? Of course disable your antivirus software before using daz loader. What exactly version and edition of 7 you are using ?

f**k jesus christ thanks guys... well, the thing is, i system restored it to earlier this month and then i ran MBAM scans and nothing came up.

But yeah once I system restored it, im back to my normal desktop screen....

I also did use hitman pro to see what was up, but mostly tracking cookies came.

How do i make sure this malware is truly gone though?

scan with an AV like Eset you have a trial of 30 days after install and launch sfc /scannow in prompt as admin to check integrity of the system

Thanks a lot guys, really appreciate it. I'm really stumped in what it could be, especially since the OS is also pirated so I can't tell if its normal or not lol

yep, I am a student atm, so i have access to windows 10 education and I am thinking of just going to upgrade to that. But I am scared about the malware if it still persists... Would a simple system restore actually revert back time enough prior to the malware existing?

If it's an oem version or not do a fresh installation that would be better and use daz loader.

I am a bit worried if i do load up the windows 10 (genuine as it is from my University and I have the product key too), that if i do, I am scared that the malware could still persist somewhere after I upgrade. That is my biggest concern.
