i never had to use a key to downgrade to 7...There is no key on the pack of DVD i have from lenovo. ok i try that tool.... i downloaded it but how do i use that ???
You need the Query Tool from that project aka QT. It's an EXE file you need to run, wait till it processed and let it save it's log file at the end. Post the output here, it contains no personal data but will show if a SLIC table was found.
You can delete the key info . SLIC 2.2 should still work for Win 7 afaik (backward compatible). Windows Loader from this forums will only install matching Key and Cert in this case. This will activate the system without the need for the actual loader.
hmm only this night I resolve upgrade to W10 so first I make fresh install with W8.1 PRO x64 after activated withKMS VL all V,19 and for pure experience I also used WLoader and Dump (after restart) to see what happen because my old Laptop is original W7 home Premium x64 and into the Bios have a SLP 2.1 that I don't obtain HELP from here to remove it so I first connect to Internet and already have file Windows10Upgrade24074.exe run it wait upgrade end now I have HWID without issues now when I have patience I make fresh install with same Iso used for install this OS that I'm runnig now Edit: my Bad still I don't sleep until now I'm mixing machines
Yep. In case of a SLIC table present it will only install OEM Key and Certificate needed for activation (not the GRUB loader).
Yes, at least you can try. Daz Loader is not only useful for "pirating" but it also can be used for real genuine activation. When a valid slic exists it only installs the appropriate Certificates and oem:slp key (as @s1ave77 already mentioned). If there is no slic it also will install the bootloader, to emulate the oem bios. In your case it's expected to only install the cert. and key, you can recognize it when the loader doesn't ask for a reboot after it's run, when the bootloader is installed it will ask for a reboot.
Valid OEM Consumer OS - Win8.x/Win10 Only Valid OEM Server OS - Server 2008/Server 2008R2/Server 2012 Does it mean i can install windows 2012 server without any key ???
It's only an interpretation of the found SLIC. It's allso valid for Win 7. The Servers in opposite to the Desktop systems also use the SLIC table for activation. EDIT: The SLIC table doesn't contain any Key and will need a Key and a Certificate for activation. The MSDM table contains a Key that will work for Win 8/8.1 (and for Win 10).
Technically yes, you could install Server 2008 (or better 2008R2) , you would still need to use the loader to insert the Lenovo cert and SLP key for it to activate, (same process as for your Windows 7), but you would then have a legally activated Server 2008 (Vista core) or (2008R2 - which is based on the Windows 7 kernel). Server 2012 is Win8.0 based but the MSDM key would not be used as it for the Win 8.x Pro. *edit* s1ave77 beat me to the post *edited* as clearer information.
Ahem . Server 2012 is Win 8.0, Server 2012 R2 is Win 8.1 based. For Win 7 based it would be Server 2008 R2.
