I followed Mr Fox's video on youtube "Windows 10 Crap-Free Version - Step by Step" using W10 Pro 1511 and that worked perfectly. I probably should just stay at 1511 but since I have a new notebook, I thought I would tackle trying to de-bloat 1607 before a fresh install.

I first tried the same sequence as before on the 1607 but step 1 Removing Metro Apps did not work however step 3 Remove Windows Components at least appeared to have worked. I finished this up and made the new iso but have not tried to install it yet. Instead I began to look into using Powershell to try and clean up 1607.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this and am starting to wonder if MS has locked it down to being impossible to accomplish. If you look at the query ran in the screenshot below, it lists the embedded apps (I cut all the others from the pic) but when removal of one is attempted it comes back with saying it can't find the file....makes no sense.

Could it be MS locked the W10 Pro and/or Home users out from doing this on 1607?

I may have to use 1511 with Windows Mini Update Tool to control updates or try to remove as many Metro and crapware apps as possible after the 1607 install.

    Thoughts or advice appreciated
