If you're the only user of your computer, or trust the other users, you don't want to first face the lock screen and then (especially) enter a password every time. If this is the case with you, or anybody reading this, you can kill both birds with one stone, metaphorically speaking as I never kill birds. And you don't need group policy or script either.

    In run, enter
    netplwiz
    to access the facility.
Untick the box ‘Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer’. Select your account before clicking ‘Apply’, and enter your password as asked. Click OK.

You've now got rid of both pitas.

I successfully disabled the "Windows Spotlight" screen that appears just before the User login screen on start up. I switched from Windows 10 Pro to Enterprise using the image "SW_DVD5_WIN_ENT_10_1607_64BIT_English_MLF_X21-07102.ISO". I then used the Registry Editor to create a DWORD value named “DisableLogonBackgroundImage” under “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System” with the value “00000001”.

Thank you RobertJ and murphy78 for you're support!

    ha-ha

    m$ : 1 / user : 0

Dont be mad, this is the way they are heading. Most of the people who are users of pro, soon will discover its limitation and then move to enterprise.

Because microsoft is removing what little control we had of the OS from 10 pro. So we lose.
For the anniversary edition, they're beginning to change everything.
Windows 10 home is now Windows 10 Starter Edition, Windows 10 Pro is now Windows 10 Home edition, and Windows 10 Enterprise is now Windows 10 Pro.

Even more sad that I "upgraded" from Windows 7 Ultimate.

In 1956 the railways dleiminated the third class on the trains (as a sign of more fair society)

As a matter of fact the actual II class, is the old III class

The actual I class is the old II class

And the Rapid/High speed trains are the old I class.

MS is doing exactly the same thing
