[Solved] Drive letters are not shown anymore in Explorer :(

    i really don't know how this happend
    once explorer crashed, it restarted, and since that day the letters are not shown anymore near the disk drive names
    letters are still assigned, when i enter the drive, i can see its path (e.g D:\)
    but the letters are not shown as description in the Explorer view and in the Tree view
    its really annoying mostly when i plug a thumb drive, i cant see its new letter until i enter it n see the pathname

    Open my computer, press ALT-T then O to open 'folder options', to go the view tab.
    scroll down and theres a tick box "show drive letters" tick it and apply > ok.

    no doubt when your computer crashed some settings were altered. I have had things like this happen to me too and it makes me scratch my head over how exactly. o_O
