[Solved] esd to wim

    Ive searched but got frustrated am an old fart you see,anyways im trying to convert an Install ESD off one of murfs discs and the output i want is a wim file so i can add drivers etc,but i keep getting an error whih is,

    An Attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

    Could anybody help me out with this please thank you..................:worthy:

    I think you can export straight from esd to wim now. I don't know when they made the change, but I seem to remember having to go through creating a junk index to do it before.
    Command is something like:
    Code:
    dism /export-image /sourceimagefile:X:\sources\install.esd /sourceindex:4 /destinationimagefile:c:\temp\install.wim /compress:max /checkintegrity

    Good you mention this, i still use wimlib-imagex to directly convert ESD to WIM

    Need to adapt to new features :good3:.
