[solved]how to repair windows 8.1 installer ?

    looks like installer is corrupted or something. almost all software is not installing !! how can I repair the installer without repairing the whole OS ? using 8.1 64bit

    in case of other software, installation is not being completed !! getting stuck after few times...not going till Finish. windows update is also unable to install updates !!

    try these commands.........

    msiexec /unregister

    msiexec /regserver

    dont have CBS.log file there... but these

    Repair your component store

    Code:
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    After that run

    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    again to repair the errors

    Now I may know a bit about Windows stuff, but I need to ask. What does this exactly do:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
    Will it effect or change anything and if so what?

    It will fix 'component store' and running sfc/scannow will repair the corrupted files of it.
