[SOLVED] IBM x206m 8485-k2u, Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 R2?

    Hey guys,

    Got an IBM x206m 8485-k2u that originally ran Server 2003. Got some questions on how to keep using it.

    Specs from IBM:

    - Pentium D 950 (3.4GHz)
    - Maxed 8GB RAM
    - Dual 160GB 7200rpm on RAID 1

    My questions are:

    - Server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 R2?
    - Can someone get me the SATA controller driver? I tried looking all over but can't find it. It's an Adaptec AIC-9405W SAS.

    I'll probably ask how to activate R2 editions later, but I'm stuck on the beginning, and the Serverguide doesn't help.

    I eventually found the drivers on the Adaptec website and used their generic drivers, it works now.

    I also went to 2012 R2 Standard activated with Daz's Windows Loader.

    This server will be going to a small non-profit group so they don't need something high-end like blade system.
