    ImgBurn should run normal w/o setting up.
    Open setup.exe with 7-zip and extract it wherever you want.

    @Ocygord
    Just a thought: update your first post with all confirmed filenames, checksums, relevant dl links you can find.
    I´m not a collector but I´m convinced this will be questioned once again in the future and since checksums are scattered around this is a opportunity to make things clearer.
    :good3: :)

  9. @Sajjo Done. It's not about being a collector, more like using the last known safe version.
    I think we all can agree that however bad ImgBurn will get, it is still better than Nero. That's like bloatware+adware+spyware all in one.

    I've been using ImgBurn off and on for quiite a long time. When they started bundling Open Candy with it, I quit using it.

    When How To Geek brought them to task they released an "Op Out" version that I took a look at and indeed you could opt out of all the crapware.

    But to be honest, I really didn't have much use for it, once I started using Easy2Boot.

    This thread got me interested in what the differences were between the 2 version I had.

    ===============================================
    Date I downloaded it = 3/18/17
    SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0_Has-opt-out-options.exe
    File size = 3,974,758

    Notice that the program ImgBurn.exe is exactly the same in both versions, and it is also the same in other versions posted above. And as GezoeSloog said, you can extract the executable and run it by itself without having to install anything.

    Near as I can figure the main program file hasn't changed in many years. In fact the later one I downloaded has an earlier version dated 6/17/16. So all they have done is to change the installation routine to bundle whatever crapware they wanted, and never updated the actual program.

    See below for what's in my two versions $PLUGINSDIR and compare it to what is in the version that you have.
