Obvious title. I've logged in as admin Yesterday. While I decided to take my PC offline to do regular dust cleaning and then put it back together and boot up, I have this weird issue that I couldn't connect to the internet with the popular "Ethernet cannot assign IP address" (likely due to ip conflict and it's not being picked up on the router) but I'm able to use an USB Wifi to access the internet. Not an issue as I have seen this problem before from the router/ISP I'm using. After fiddling around with connection issue/adaptor settings I found out my admin pw was not working or changed... It is just weird that all of the sudden I cannot login using my admin pw. I looked at server log to see if I was attacked/pw changed without permission and found nothing. Router log was wiped during reset so I couldn't see if I was under attack. I'm not sure how the admin pw would not work but I'm able to go through the pw prompt with a standard user account so I don't think the password service is malfunctioning. I've restarted/complete shutdown and boot up, still the same issue. Anyone heard of this issue before? Windows Server 2012 R2. By all mean I'm gonna be ok reinstalling the whole OS and setting up everything it just take a lot of time and digging through making sure I got everything but if I can preserve this it'll be awesome. Not looking to rush this process and interested to try out something until it works for a few months. Edit: Nevermind. I was mistyping by a couple of spaces. I'm having baby brain atm. DUH!
Some of factor problems Network card I would suggest try TP-Link PCIE (use on Relteak Driver) and I had never had problems Windows server 2012 R2 for long time until EOL.. (End of Life Support) and I upgrade to Windows Server 2022 Standard.. Also, you need a tools to reset password, it works with Active@Disk Password reset or other 3rd parties apps to able boot USB flash drive or DVD WIN-PE... ATGPUD2003
