[SOLVED]Need help for XP OEM activation for eMachine

    [SOLVED]I have an eMachine comes with Windows 7 and woulld like to downgrade to Windows XP but couldn't find any XP OEMBIOS files for eMachine. I appraciate if anyone can upload an OEMBIOS files for eMachine.


    [SOLVED]After install windows xp with 4 OEMBIOS files (OEMBIOS.BI_,OEMBIOS.CA_,OEMBIOS.DA_,OEMBIOS.SI_) and right key
    my window still ask me to activate. Is there anyting I did wrong?

    Do I must go online to activate?

    First thing you need to do is download oembios.exe from The Windows XP OEMBIOS Archive and open cmd window and run it, it will tell you what oembios files you need.

    The files that end with "_" e.g. OEMBIOS.CA_ or OEMBIOS.DA_ are 'compressed' you add them to your XP CD.
    You need to un-compress them or use the un-compressed versions e.g. OEMBIOS.CAT or OEMBIOS.DAT for XP to activate.

    No you don't need to go online to activate XP, with this method.
