[Solved] New Laptop-Formatted Before Booting Into Pre-Installed OS-How To Activate?

    Hi all,

    I have a new laptop that came with Windows 10 Pro that has been formatted before even booting into the pre-installed Windows 10 Pro and I didn't want all the bundled apps etc. How do I activate the Windows 10 Pro that is built into the system as they no longer come with product key stickers?

    Just reinstall and go on from there if the OS activates solved if not let us know :tea:

    Sorted!

    Found the actual key by starting CMD as Admin
    wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
    and using the key displayed to activate Windows 10 Pro. Phew!

    Windows 10 Multiple Editions iso's are OEMRETAIL, so just skipping the key would have let the setup sort out what edition the oem:Dm key is for and automatically have installed and activated pro if the key was for pro.
