    Hey all,

Been away from 10 for a while but just grabbed a cheap VivoPC that had 10 Home installed.

Ive tried several methods to get it upgraded to Pro with a digital licence and am now a bit lost as I have never dealt with a OEM:DM that Loader didn't fix!

Loader will activate 7 fine its the update part after that is having the issue.

I originally tried the 7 > Loader > Assistive Technologies route that got me straight to 10 Home again.

Then tried using Loader and an inplace upgrade using the MCT > Wants to install Home

Attempted the genuineticket.xml route but cannot get any iso to allow the choice of Pro. Tried a 10568 iso and ei.cfg/pid.txt (in several varieties) which still wont allow Pro to be chosen (upgrade or from boot setup)

Im thinking it may be worth trying a BIOS mod but don't know enough about the OEM:DM to know if that will bypass it?

Is there anything else I can try? The biggest hurdle here is that none of the methods Ive found will allow the choice of Pro!

I know I can KMS it but would rather go for a digital licence while they are still being 'handed out'.

    Thanks in advance!

Yup I have tried all these and it still goes to Home!

This is the hurdle, I have it loaded and an xml ready to go. Its the getting to Pro that's the issue.

Heres a snap that shows the Loader status, ei.cfg, pid.txt, wim file that definaltey has pro in (murphys older 10586 which Ive used before for Pro) and the final result of running setup - it automatically goes to Home.

It doesn't matter what iso I use (custom, MCT etc) or wether I use setup.exe or boot from it. Pro never shows.

I feel like Im missing something really stupid as Ive used ei.cfg before on to get Pro available.

Your meant to do a clean install of 10 using ei.cfg, not upgrade from within windows...

Yup, even with a ei.cfg (and /or pid.txt) booting from ISO/USB doesn't give the option to use Pro.

This I don't understand as Ive been able to bypass this before on other system!

I've used the ei.cfg many times before and for my aio i have to use this one, also works:

    Code:
    [EditionID]

    [Channel]
    Volume

    [VL]
    1

It gives selection options, it allows HWID's to be used and doesn't error with 2016 LTSB N eula.

IIRC 10240 will upgrade you to Pro, even if you have a DM Home key. For clean installs I use DISM and can specify index 1.

You can also use the Pro only ISO from VLSC but you'll have to change the key post install.

This, excellent mate. I dont think i tried one with VL options in!

Did the genuineticket and it activated with a digital license, did a clean install of my custom 10 (using that ei.cfg to bypass OEM:DM) and it activated straight away.

Many thanks guys, certainly keeping this cfg around!

I've never had any issues even though I have an OEM-DM for the Home edition...
I always deleted other flavors from the wim and just kept the Pro...
