:D that might be the reason people are reluctant to reply :D

Just kiddin' - here are some thoughts come to mind:

    - PSU fan is supposed to be always on, isn't it? Chassis fan and other fans are 'adjusting' to cooling sys requirements

    If not then:

    - CTRL + ALT + DEL and check if you have too many services running, eating up resources unnecessarily
    - Power Options settings in the Control Panel - If set to High Performance, try setting to Balanced
    - Check the BIOS (PSU) fan settings (if any adjustable)
    - Ensure that the laptop's air vents are not blocked (i.e. do not use in bed )

Hi Glad to hear you got the problem fixed.

I have a Sony RCV-RX660 with the same problem.. I got a driver from Sony web site called " Sony Fan Control Driver".
After install and reboot no more fan speed problem. The name is: SOG061XDAN.EXE
