    I am looking for the latest version of the file QChain.exe from Microsoft for Windows XP, in order to install a lot of hotfixes without restarting after each file (unattended). I have managed to find one file, but I have no way to confirm, if it is official. Neither does it seem to be the latest version. Does anyone have the latest version for XP, and the SHA1 to go with it for conformation of file integrity? For starters perhaps just the SHA1 and version of the latest file, so I can check the file I already have. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    @vanelle

    Thank you. That exact site was precisely where I found qchain.exe myself.
    The SHA1 in your post fits the file, but have you used this file yourself as to verify that it is safe?

    the exe has a digital signatur by M$ (check file property's -> Signatur tab -> details -> Valid MD5 signatur (Microsoft Windows 2000 Publisher) )

    have also checked with signtool
    "...\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\bin\signtool.exe" verify /pa "...qchain_5.00.2195.6666.exe"

    result:
    Successfully verified: qchain_5.00.2195.6666.exe

    So no signs for "unsafe"

    EDIT:
    qchain is language independent (english only)

    @vanelle
    That is great thank you.
    No need not to trust the file then.
    I very much appreciate your input.
