[Solved] [Question] Help converting my Windows 8 pro with wmc to Windows 8.1 pro

    Hey Guys,

    Thanks to this forum I installed a windows 8 pro with WMC and activated it using KMspico 10.0.0.4. The thing is I would like to update to windows 8.1 but the update is not showing up on store , when I click the link from Microsoft site to the store It says "Sorry your edition cannot be upgraded to windows 8.1 " in the store.

    I would appreciate if anyone can help me upgrade this to windows 8.1

    Go in the esd decryption thread stickie and get a prowmc esd and the decryption script.
    Use the script on the esd.
    Mount the ISO.
    Run Setup.

    Sorry am pretty new to this , So I have to download the ISO and mount it and install? Will the new edition get updates , My current edition shows that it has been activated for 30 days only after this upgrade will it auto renew every 30 days.Can you also point me which iso to use for this purpose. And I dont really need the media center, can I downgrade to normal windows 8.1 from this windows 8 pro with wmc

    Not exactly. You download the .esd file; the same one the store does.
    The only thing the store does for you is automate the upgrade. It uses the same file.

    After upgrading to the latest IR4 esd version, re-download the latest KMSpico or MTK from the mdl projects section and re-activate using that.

    Thank you bro, So can I upgrade to the windows 8.1 pro without wmc from this windows 8 with wmc edition?

    Eh... no I don't believe you can, but why would you want to? You can upgrade straight to WMC.
    There's a pro WMC to normal pro conversion thread somewhere but I have no idea where. I remember seeing it like a year ago.

    It's okay, nothing its just that my friend had a working phone activation key for 8.1 pro , Thank you. Will update you on how it goes :)

    Phone activation keys are stolen/leaked. It's better to use KMS. That way you aren't contributing to a company getting sued like that one recently.

    Hello Murphy78, excuses for my poor englisch, this esd decryption is abouth wat my problem is and where i have post a question on MDL , on this moment more than 200 vieuwers buth no reply???.
    With the best will i can't understand what to do with the decryption, is it possible to give some more details, i am noth ashamed to ask that because i am 65 and have a little handicap ( stroke )
