[Solved] "Reminder: Activate Windows Media Center Pack with your product key"

    I've received e-mail from MS titled as above.

    What is this?

    I've already upgraded Pro to WMC using the key mentioned in their message.

    Actually M$ is in WEIRD shape,
    1. Official Beta Tester
    2. 1 Genuine Pro Retail
    3. 1 Genuine Pro upgrade (I get a reminder every 2 days to use the key.)
    4. 1 Genuine Pro upgraded to WMC with Genuine KEY from M$ - used on #3

    I keep sending status and they say (DUH we can not validate)

    Afaik there was a hint in the mail i recieved firstly with the key, that they will remind you shortly before the opportunity to activate exceeds :D.

    Yes I am also getting the messages about my unused keys even on my customized WMC pro version which activated. So these keys will be dead if not used in a legit activation by the 31st. I wonder if the $15 windows pro upgrade keys will suffer the same fate if not used by the end of Feb. Looks like Microsoft wants to keep us on a tight schedule.

    Just got another email about one of my legit upgrades...must be across the board general mailout. Should be interesting to see what happens.

    Nope, the upgrade keys in opposite to WMC ones won´t expire. It´s only possible to purchase them till end of this month.
