I have internet with PLDT in the Philippines. I set up my TP-Link router as a wireless repeater. Works great. When the router is on then i have no internet with my Ethernet connected to the PLDT Modem. Windows 8.1. I had no problems when I was using Globe Internet. Edit: Fixed the problem. I missed a step in the setup. I had to change the LAN IP of the extended router.
