I can't burn DVDs on Windows 10 1909. Whenever I try to burn one of them the software talks about a PMA update failure. I've tried different media, software, burning speed and a clean Windows 10 install but I still have this issue.

Just curious ??? Why are you still using DVD's ? My PC doesn't even have a DVD Player. USB Flash Drive only.

Try another optical drive. Try the current optical drive on a error less system.

    This is a laptop drive?
You'll probably need to get an external usb dvd drive, or another laptop drive to check for the hardware or software issue
Please post the specs, the manufacture and serial number of your pc

    Yes, it is.
    That's what I thought.
    It's a Toshiba Satellite L50-B-16X.

Most new desktop and laptop's no longer have optical drives. You just download whatever it is you need, put it on the usb drive if you want to save it for later. If it is a windows install, that's mostly done with usb's now too. There's nothing seriously wrong with optical disks, but compared to usb 3.0/3.1 drives, optical disks are very slow and have limited capacity (they only hold about 4.5 gb)
