I have 20H2 with somehow buggered WU. I really have no time to troubleshoot it (would be quicker to do it from scratch). But why not do in-place "upgrade" to keep data Always worked. But no, this one gives me Keep NOTHING Any idea why that would be? sebus
Typo, 21H1 It was one of the drivers that I hardly ever use. And it was on .630 So needed to use FiX 20H2 to 20H2 InPlace/Repair Upgrade by @BAU After that it worked as it should! "Problem" solved, thanks
@Sebus123 You simply must enable 21H1 features, they are already in Your computer, if it is up-to date. No needs to reinstall or go through long upgrade process. To enable these features takes less than 5 minutes and everything stays their places.
All you need is 21H1 Enablement Package. 19041, 42 & 43 are all the same. It's the Enablement Package that makes the difference.
EP is unlikely to fix any issues with WU (which was the reason to do the "upgrade") If you do not understand the question, then maybe it is better not try to answer?
Actually he is correct, you were running a full iso upgrade (probably with a ISO released in which the fix wasn't inserted by MSFT (<.661)) when you just had to install the small 21H1 EP to achieve the "upgrade" from 20H2 to 21H1. BAU's fork of my initial script is not needed anymore.
No idea who was to be correct I was running full iso of 21H1. The fix applies to installed version, not the one being used to install!
