There are a lot of ready made WinPE 10s out there to use but I am looking for one without any integrated apps that I don't necessarily need and use. In other words, just the core WinPE 10 with a desktop OS. I mostly use it for re-installing Windows 10, Disk partitioning and for Backup/Restore of which I already have the portable apps for. Does anyone here have a ready made one or know of one? Thanks.
Publicly available? I don't think there is one. Luckily if someone here has one and want to share with you, then it has to be done via pm. No homebrew stuff allowed in MDL as you may know. Otherwise go to theoven.org and build one yourself.
OK I discovered that AOMEI has a ready-made Windows PE Build Environment that they use for their PE Builder. It's just the core WinPE 10 with a desktop environment. It should do for now until I get my hands on a better one.
So basically something like this: PEBakery, or the original WinPESE projects from theoven (as already mentioned by @Mr.X). Ingenious projects. Created lately a new Win10PESE with LTSC as base and integrated Acronis 2019 PE GUI, Recovery and lots of other tools .
Wouldn't it be less time and trouble for you just to reinstall Win XP... Then you won't run into any compatibility issues?
Why bother? Dism++ is all you need for Windows machines Just about anything I tried works fine anyway (most likely user issue...)
Edit: Sorry it was not Macrium Reflect -- It was some other app. And AOMEI Partition Assistant was not working. Anyways I'm taking a long break from building and modding for now.
