Why does abbodi1406's KMS VL ALL script contact China? <can't post link>

    1.2.7.0 (TCP 1688)

Checksums were the same... Normal port for KMS, but isn't this suppose to be a local emulator?

Pretty weird. Qad's works fine. No external connections needed.

AFAIK, abbodi1406's KMS VL ALL script doesn't connect to the Internet. It is save to use it.

LOL! abbodi's KMS VL All scripts are to install/uninstall qad's hook, set relevant KMS parameters, check licensing status of installed clients Win/Office and if appropriate KMS activate them (smart). It's an offline KMS solution.

You did get it from proper clean source (see my sig). Thread title could do with some attention IMO.

1.2.7.0 is just a random ip for KMS emulator
i choose it because it's similar to the localhost ip 127.0.0.1
i was not aware that it matches a real chinese ip :D

it still just local bypass for KMS, it doesn't contact the real ip

you can change it if you like in Activate-Local.cmd or KMS_VL_ALL.cmd

Cool. Good to know. (Thanks for keeping the scripts transparent).

Another question: does selecting the localhost for the script still work? Or will it 'block' it as it does with entries in the hosts file?

Yeah, I understand all that. The link I used is the same as in your sig. Just thought it was weird.

    It isn't a crack ;)

And the creator, abbodi1406, has already answered the question...

No, localhost 127.0.0.1/127.0.0.2 is blocked for Windows 8.1/10
that's the purpose of KMS Emulator bypasses

Out of curiosity (never looked about that), what about 172.16.x.x or 10.x.x.x ? Blocked as well?:g:

So you could evaluate to use one of them to avoid another question like ^^

Especially 172.16.. is rarely used in home/soho environments, so low risk to interfere with a preexisting LAN

I guess if you're paranoid enough you could use 255.255.255.255 which will never make it off your local lan since that ip address isn't used in the real world.

The only thing I can't belive is that someone suggests that a great scripter and supporter of this community, like Abbodies1406, made something who call China or something like that.

Of the frequent posters here, how many are native Chinese speakers?

Don't understand why quote me, however, if you had doubts that the script phone home, IMHO you had to use the doubtful forms in thread's title to respect Abbodies1406's work.

@dvbman: Don't let it anger you. We all respect Aboddi's work here.

A question was asked and it turned into a misunderstanding.
