Hi folks! I got an error with wimlib and i cannot resolve it so i thank that you can help me in this case. So the situation is following: I captured a wim file from a Windows 8.1 install (virtual hd) with fast compression and i want to try to compress it with wimlib with --compress:lzx switch. It does its job but when compressing it detects the uncompressed folder size wrongly. In gimagex the wim unexpanded size: ~10 Gb in wimlib 6,5GB. After compressing neither gimagex nor dism can't read the exprted wim file. Thanks for your help in advance. Does anybody ever met this kind of error? P.s. sorry if i wrote in wrong topic
the correct parameter would be --compress=lzx or --compress=maximum as for the uncompressed size, wimlib gives the actual size of expanded data whereas imagex adds the hardlinked data size
It seems to be working now. If i got some error again i will post it there. Thanks for correction & advice.
