Hi, I've been searching something related to the issue I have, but couldn't find anything. So I'll appreciate any help. I had a legitimate Windows 8.1 Single Language activation, so I upgraded it to Windows 10 Home using the WZor RTM 10240 ISO, and it was supposed to keep the activation, but it was not. Now Windows 10 Home isn't activated and says my license expires in two months. I don't know if this could be related with the Windows 8.1 key saved in bios, any conflict there, or anything else
I don't think it is, I had the same issue on a friends PC. I just reinstalled the old OS and tried the upgrade again and it worked. Guess for some reason the HWID did not get registered the first time.
Ok, I'll reinstall Win 8.1 SL and upgrade again to Win 10. But you did upgrade with the CORE-PRO RTM iso, right?. Now I'm not sure because @panchop wrote this: And I've just realized there is a Win 10 SL version, I had followed the official Windows 10 FAQ where says that Windows 8.1 country specific editions like Windows 8.1 Single Language or Windows 8.1 with Bing will upgrade to Home edition. So, should I try again with core-pro iso or just SL iso?
This is the report. Yeah, it worked. Windows 8.1 SL was upgraded to Windows 10 SL, and it remained activated. After a clean install, it's still activated. I used Windows 10 SL ISO. Thanks for helping me.
Seems like the free upgrade path is different than the paid upgrade path. Still not sure what the free upgrade path for Bing is.
