I really don't get the thread title, home to enterprise, windows update activation error? And in the post you mention MTK and what it has to do with each other,.

I think the OP is trying to cover the most with saying the least, which is a bad way to try to obtain help. If my "decoder ring" is right ( LOL :p ) --- The OP is trying to upgrade from Home to Enterprise and that upgrade is not taking (working), while also trying to activate that upgrade, which would be foolish to do since she or he has not yet finished upgrading.

OP -- Start over. Install a fresh copy of Enterprise. You're clearly trying to do to much at once in the wrong order and likely have screwed yourself. Also, please be as clear as possible and as detailed as possible in the future when posting. ;)

I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 home. I upgraded to Enterprise and used MTK to activate. All the dialogs say it's activated, yet I cannot update with windows update as I get that error.

The screenshot shows winver and the error code.

Did you run the WU troubleshooter?

    oh noooooooo! not this again!

"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070426)"

Anyone have a clue what to do? I searched and search and could not find a solution.

Run "sfc /scannow" in an elevated cmd first and next:
Go into safe boot and delete the whole softwaredistribution folder and restart in normal boot, try again.

I've already done that but i'll try again. Thanks

It's been 10 days since the last update check. It appears that it checks for updates but won't register the check - only shows 10 days ago.

**edit** _ Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

**edit2** - deleted folder but still have the same error.
