    Hi !
i have a genuine windows 2012 r2 standard key from my company, in my home i installed the evaluation version of win 2012 r2 and i'm trying to activate it. but it says that this key is not for this version ??? i don't think this key is for the datacenter version but...
is there a tool to let me know what this key is for ?

    EDIT:
i found a pidchecker, and it says : error

I had the same problem with the installation of OFFICE PRO PLUS 2010... my key was not working...so i downloaded a VL version of the ISO and it worked...so now i'm wondering if my 2012 R2 key was not for a VL version ??? i didn't know that their is a difference between VL and non VL versions ?
i downloaded my 2012 R2 ISO from TechNet Evaluation Center web site...
