[Solved] Windows Fax and scan

    I'm using windows 10 16299 pro x64. With the windows fax and scan application, i can scan documents. However trying to fax a document aborts. When I'm asked to create an account for faxing using my modem i get an error message : an error as occured (not very helpfull). Some time (years) ago there was no problem : I remember it was OK with Windows 7. My modem config is OK since I can fax using the Snappy Fax application. Some advise?

    Well, the issue is not related to Windows 10.
    The registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Accounts\ has subkeys like S-1-5-21-4223882079-2606149172-69499281-xxxx. I just deleted these subkeys and new faxing is ok.Problem solved.
