I cannot seem to get all new emails to show up at the top of listings. I have the list set up so that emails are shown in a descending order, with the newest, unread emails at the top. This problem occurs with all my emails accounts.

The new emails seem to show up in a random order, with some of them at the top, some in the middle and some at the bottom of my Inbox, with older, previously read emails in between. I've researched the problem and cannot find the solution. I've gone into Options and cannot find a setting, checked or unchecked, that would solve the problem.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on a new computer. I uninstalled the Windows Live Essentials that came with the computer and installed WLM Version 2009, Build 14.0.8117.0416 because I don't like the newest version of WLM. I've never experienced this problem before.

Thank you in advance for any assistance provided.

at the top of the list of emails theres two settings
    ive got mine set to

    Sort By Date and Descending.

those are the defaults i think and ive had no problems with them at all.

Thanks, racky29. That's what I was looking for. Common sense should have sent me to the File Menu.
