[Solved] Windows7 Update Options Faded

    I installed Windows7 Ultimate 2 months ago. everything was fine. but some days ago when i decided to change update scheme i saw windows update options were faded. i couldn't change windows update options. i installed kaspersky internet security to 2014 to avoid malware intrusion. here is picture i uploaded. please see and help me windows update.jpg

    Look at the top of your screenshot. "Managed by System Administrator" means there is a Group-Policy override. Since it is Ultimate,
    1. just fire up Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc),
    2. navigate to Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Windows Update,
    3. at the right side you now can access all GPOs regarding Windows Update. Accessing 'Enabled' or 'Disabled' settings and re-set to 'Not Configured' will restore the normal OS controls.
