    Hi everyone,

I am still using all day a first gen i7 on X58 Motherboard. I've understood that a modern HDD, for exemple 8TB, might work properly, until you get it formated in GPT mode. But some of them doubts about the facts its note an UEFI system.
I bet Windows 10 would recognize the disk, but what about the BIOS ?

I am more worried about this, than about the fact I don't even have Sata3 - But that doesn't matter, regarding speed of 5400rpm drives...

It is for storage. Making both Barracuda a Raid1 !

    Thanks, Best Regards

Make sure you have the latest BIOS update will it read a HD that size the only way to find out is to install it and format it....if it doesnt work you can always return the HD.

If you don't have any kind of UEFI support, you just won't be able to boot from that hard disk. Everything else works. As it is just for storage, you are fine.
